XLI Conference of Community and European Affairs Committees of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC)

The XLI COSAC meeting, organised by the Czech Parliament as part of the Czech presidency and specifically by the Community and European Affairs Committees of both its chambers, took place in Prague at the Žofín Palace and was attended by nearly 150 members of parliaments from throughout Europe.

Current Challenges for European Security

The one-day parliamentary conference entitled Current Challenges for European Security was held at Žofín Palace in Prague on 6 April 2009. The event, organised by the Chamber of Deputies’ Committee on Security, Committee on Petitions and Committee on Economics, took place as part of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It was attended by guests from the Czech parliament and other EU countries’ parliaments.

Conference of Foreign Affairs Committee Chairpersons of the Parliaments of EU member states -COFACC- in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

The Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic hosted a meeting of leading representatives of COFACC that took place within the framework of the Czech Presidency of the Council of European union on March 9 – 10, 2009. As one of its main priorities, the Czech Presidency has chosen the theme “The European Union in the World” and the main topic of COFACC meeting followed this tag line very closely – “Security and economic dimension of the Transatlantic co-operation”.
